Pray for Beach Missions

Beach missions are taking place all over the UK and in fact all over the world. Please pray for their work as they take this opportunity to reach out to people on holiday. Here are some prayer points to focus on: Freedom and wisdom. Pray that authorities will resist calls to silence the church outside places of worship, and pray for wisdom for those speaking at missions that they will be sensitive and that they will be given the right… [Continue Reading]

Holiday Club 2019

This year’s theme was Waste Warriors as we looked at the effects our waste is having on the world, how we so often make a mess of things, and how that can be put right. We changed the format a little this time with an all-day club on the Monday and an evening barbecue on Thursday. As usual, a lot of fun was had by all.

Consider your calling

This article appeared on the St Padran’s Institute Facebook page recently and offers a real challenge to all of us. In my role I encounter much discussion about the idea of calling into Christian ministry. For most people, their understanding of calling is determined by the bible’s descriptions of Old Testament prophets like Moses, Samuel, Jonah and Amos, or New testament characters like the disciples and Paul. These exemplary characters are portrayed as being personally summoned by God for their… [Continue Reading]
