A message for Pentecost

In John’s gospel, in the description of the Last Supper, we see Jesus praying for his followers and for those who would come to Jesus through them (John 17:20). Rana’s Induction Service

Thursday 11th May saw the licensing of the reverend Rana Khan as Rector of Crickhowell with Cwmdu and Tretower, and leader of the Catwg Ministry Area. Members of all 10 ministry area congregations, plus friends and members of Rana’s former congregation in London packed the church for this joyous occasion. Sherill is pioneer for safeguarding champion pilot scheme

St Catwg’s Ministry Area is breaking new ground in the Church in Wales, with the appointment of a voluntary ministry area safeguarding champion. Former teacher Sherill Worgan, will be the first to take on such a role and, if it proves successful following a six-month pilot exercise, it has potential to be considered in other dioceses in Wales. Friends of St Edmund’s Inaugural Meeting

On Tuesday 22nd November at 7.30pm we will hold the first meeting for the Friends of St Edmund’s. Tina Andrews, the Church in Wales Heritage and Conservation Officer, will address the topic: “A sacred space in today’s community”, Brenda Gooding, St Edmund’s Project Manager, will update on recent renovation projects and future opportunities. This will be followed by a Cheese and Wine Buffet. Eric Gower will lead a tour of the church.
