Home Groups encourage discussion about the Christian faith which can often be challenging, but which helps people to understand more about who Jesus really is, and His relevance in our fractured world today.
Sunday Services give us a wonderful opportunity to worship together, but there is not always time to explore matters of faith in any depth. Home Groups provide more space for interaction and discussion, the sharing of personal prayer needs and the building of meaningful relationships with each other. Many of us find it helpful to join one of the Groups that meet during the week, where there is a little more time to read and learn together from the Bible, and to help one another along the Christian pathway.

An informal home group has been meeting for some years for those who could not manage to meet every week. The group has evolved and, for the past two years, has met in the homes of all the members in rotation. Dates are by mutual agreement of those who attend – about once a fortnight all the year round, commencing at 7.30pm. Each meeting opens with worship songs led with guitar and introductory prayer. Discussion focuses on a theme, which differs from week to week. We have lively, informal, but guided discussion about the evening’s topic, followed by prayer related to the evening’s discussion. We close at about 9.30pm. Contact John Matty on 812953, Julian Stedman on 812512 or Rennie Gold on 01874 730968.
In addition a group of men from different parishes and denominations meet twice a month on the first and third Saturday at 8am in the Crickhowell Parish Hall, to share breakfast and study the Bible together. Contact Richard on 01873 810919 to find out more.
