A Letter from the Chairman
In this time of unprecedented change in our world and local community, I hope
that you are all keeping well.
We recognise that many people are currently very fearful of the action of the
virus on their loved ones, or in response to the loss of jobs and income. This
may be you and, if so, if there is anything that we can offer you as a church to
meet your needs, please let us know. We have not lost our faith in our loving
God, who has always provided Christians with hope in times of adversity – we
believe that prayer makes a real difference to help us deal with stress and get
through our personal traumas in life.
You will, of course realise that, in accordance with governmental advice, we
shall not be able to hold our Friends AGM on Thursday May 7th, and have
asked Patrick Daniell to postpone his presentation on his recent visit to
Ethiopia – something to look forward to when “normal” activities resume! The
talk given by Adrian Barlow on the 10th March, “Espying Heaven: the Stained
Glass of Charles Eamer Kempe” was a great success and we just got it in before
the new rules on public meetings took over. Thank you, Adrian, for an
inspirational evening – there are many other Kempe windows to visit locally,
when we can.
I wish you all well in the confusing times in which we live,

New West Door FiTTED
Thanks to the generosity of our Friends, the church now has a new set of west doors, making the building so much more welcoming to our visitors, as well as keeping the draughts out!
