Under 5’s Easter Service – 19th March

Regrettably we have had to cancel this event due to the snow

Jesus of Nazareth – Guilty or not guilty?

A talk by His Honour Anthony Seys Llewellyn QC intended for those of faith or of no faith

Palm Sunday – 25th March

We start at the Market Hall at 10am with bell ringers and palm crosses, singing Easter worship songs in the open air. Then follow the procession to the church for the main service at 10.45.

Holy Week

A service of Compline will be held in the church at 7.30pm on Monday 27th and Tuesday 28th. On Wednesday 29th we will hold the final session of the Lent course in church and Compline will follow this at about 9.15pm. This is a simple spoken service to help us focus in the last few days before Easter itself.

Maundy Thursday

7.30 pm in the church. In this, the last communion service before Easter, we recall the events leading to Jesus’ arrest in the garden of Gethsemane. At the end of the service the altars are stripped bare and we leave the church in silence.

Good Friday

At 10.45 we have an all age service which will include drama, singing, stories and pictures. Join us as we ‘Step into the Picture’ for a family-friendly act of worship for all ages. Stay for hot cross buns and drinks at the end of the service.

At 12.00, weather permitting, we will be walking from the church up to Table Mountain (the flat-topped hill above Crickhowell), carrying a wooden cross. We stop at various points on the way for a reading and a prayer, have lunch on Table Mountain and return to the church for about 4pm.

Our devotional service takes place at 2pm in the church, with 4 readings and meditations and a time for silent prayer.

A service of Tenebrae will be held in st John’s Church, Tretower,at 6pm.

Easter Day

We celebrate the resurrection of Jesus in our services today. The ‘green prayer book’ communion service at 8.15am and the main family communion at 10.45am, followed by an Easter egg hunt for the children.
